上一季的林書豪,其實是上帝透過他在玩2K12(一種知名的NBA電玩):

Lin

Jeremy Lin 109 pts 33 assists
Isiah Thomas 94 pts 24 assists
Magic Johnson 74 pts 26 assists
John Stockton 37 pts 41 assists

Snowstorm can't keep Jeremy Lin from Sundance screening
'Linsanity'Houston Rockets point guard shares his amazing
story in documentary.

By Scott D. Pierce | The Salt Lake Tribune

At the height of Linsanity, much was made of the fact that sudden NBA star
Jeremy Lin was sleeping on a teammate's couch. It was true, and it's the one
thing he's corrected since signing a three-year, $25 million contract with the
Houston Rockets last summer.

"My biggest purchase was my mattress," Lin said Sunday night at a screening
of the documentary "Linsanity" at Salt Lake City's Rose Wagner Performing
Arts Center. "I don't really have too many nice things. I pretty much dress the
same and live the same.

"But my bed is awesome."

So is his story. How he overcame doubters and racism to get a shot at the
NBA. How he survived not getting drafted, then overcame getting cut by the
Warriors and the Rockets. How he was down to what would have been his
last game with the Knicks when he went crazy on the court and — in the
space of two weeks — became an international star.

And how his faith kept him humble. How his sudden rise to fame can be
attributed to "definitely, first and foremost, God," he said. "As the
documentary showed, there were too many things that happened in my
life that were beyond my control. And I'll be the first one to admit that."
(He said he's thought about going into the ministry, and hasn't ruled it
out for after basketball.)

What nobody could control on Sunday night, the last night of the Sundance
Film Festival, was the weather. The big question was whether Lin, 24,
would make it to the screening at all. The snowstorm left the Rockets
grounded in Grand Junction, Colo., as they were trying to fly to Salt Lake
City for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz.

Lin slipped into the back of the theater in the final minutes of the 630 p.m.
screening, just in time to take questions from the audience. "If you've
seen the film, you know nothing is going to stop Jeremy Lin — even a
snowstorm," said director Evan Jackson Leong.

It was just the latest in a string of serendipitous events for Lin and the
filmmakers. Leong first approached the man at the center of "Linsanity"
when Lin was still a college basketball player at Harvard, long before anyone
knew if he'd ever get a shot at the NBA. And Lin wasn't exactly enthusiastic.
"In general, I'm a very private person. I'm very camera shy," he said. "So
I was definitely very against it."

But Leong persevered, and Lin eventually decided, "If my career goes down
the drain, the worst thing I'll have is some cool footage. It turned into this.
And we had no idea."

No one expected that, after years of hard work, Lin would become an
overnight sensation.

"As we kept shooting, we didn't have an ending," Leong said. "And when
he got cut by the Warriors and by the Rockets, we were like, 'Oh, man.' And
last February, he gave us an ending."

Lin Movie

Sundance: Docu filmmakers hit 'Linsanity' jackpot
Deal nearing on the right place, right-time Sundance docu

By Josh L. Dickey

When director Evan Leong and his crew first approached Jeremy Lin during his
senior year at Harvard, the hope was to get enough material for a web series
that might interest Asian-Americans, Christians and other fans of the obscure
NBA journeyman.

What they did instead was catch the documentary filmmaker's version of
lightning in a bottle -- and wound up at Sundance with a film that's a
buzzer-beater away from closing a distribution deal.

"We pursued this with Jeremy and his family declined numerous times," said
Brian Yang, a producer on the film. "They just didn't want the attention, and
he's a conservative guy. They really didn't understand, they were like, 'Why
would you want to put a camera on Jeremy? He's just a kid playing baskeball
at Harvard.'"

Brian Yang

When Lin was selected for the NBA, the idea made more sense to the family,
and the filmmakers started tracking Lin during his rookie year with the Golden
State Warriors. During that time, a member of Lin's sports management team
became involved with the filmmaking team, and the player and project became
firmly intertwined.

"The idea was to make a modest, simple webisode series," said Yang, "just to
tell his story of what made him who he was."

Brain Yang 說。

Then, last February happened.

Having played sparingly and on the verge of being cut by the New York Knicks,
Lin was thrust into a starting role and led a remarkable seven-game winning
streak that generated a global following known as "Linsanity." Suddenly, Lin
was being bombarded with requests from major directors and media outlets
to capture it all -- but the family remained loyal to the ones who'd been with
them all along.

"Everything changed," Yang said. "We went from making an eight-part
webisode series to a feature-length doc in a real hurry. People were like,
'How did you know this was going to happen?'"

Yang and his fellow producers, many Asian-American basketball fans who
had been tracking Lin since his earliest days at Harvard, knew all along how
lucky they were to have exclusive access during a truly global viral sports
phenomenon.

"There is footage from that period, when he was just getting hounded and
stalked by the media," Yang said. "There are definitely scenes in there where
you're like, 'Wow, that's what this was really like.'"
